Course Tuition

Anyone may audit a class for personal enrichment. Audit students are given access to course lectures and notes, and can read group discussions. There are no prerequisites to auditing a course and no written assignments are required. Course material can be bought through our web store. Prospective audit students may also want to check out our on-demand courses.

Tuition

  • 8-week courses – $125 per course + course materials
  • 15-week courses – $175 per course + course materials

Registration

Please follow these easy steps to register as an audit student.

1.  Purchase the course through our web store. You will receive an email confirmation with further instructions within 2 business days.

2.  Purchase course materials through our web store.

3.  We will email each student a username and password on the Friday before the course starts. This will give you access to Moodle, where you’ll find the course materials (e.g., audio lectures, notes, syllabus).


Note: Audit courses offer no college credit and cannot be upgraded for college credit at a later time.

Reasons Institute offers a certificate program in science apologetics. This option offers students undergraduate- to graduate-level training without requiring enrollment in a formal degree program.

There is no need to enroll in the certificate program. Simply register for the required courses by following the steps below. (Required courses for each certificate level can be found here.) Once you have completed the necessary courses for your certificate, contact us at [email protected] and we will send your certificate in the mail.

Students are expected to complete each certificate level within 3 years of starting the first class. Certificate courses offer no college credit and cannot be upgraded for college credit at a later time.

Follow these steps to register for a Reasons Institute course as a certificate student.

  1. Purchase courses through the web store links below. After purchasing a course, you will receive an email confirmation with further instructions within 2 business days. 

Before purchasing, please verify which courses are required for the certificate level you are pursuing.

Reasons Institute has partnered with Northern California Bible College (NCBC) to offer undergraduate Bible college credit for our courses.

Tuition:

  • $125–$225 (depending on the course) + materials

Registration:

Follow these steps in order to receive college credit for a Reasons Institute course through NCBC.

  1. Download and fill out an application for admission to NCBC.
  2. Submit your completed application to NCBC admissions.
  3. Register as a certificate student and purchase the appropriate course materials through the RTB web store.
  4. On the Friday before the course starts, an RTB staff member will send you a username, password, and login instructions. This will enable you to access the online learning platform (Moodle) and online course materials (e.g., lectures, notes, syllabus).
  5. Once you have completed the course, send an email to the Reasons Institute office letting us know you are an NCBC student. We will send a transcript to the registrar at NCBC with the final course grade.

Reasons Institute has partnered with various universities to allow students to receive academic credit for our courses. Students who wish to receive credit for a Reasons Institute course must follow the school’s admission protocols as detailed below.

Biola University

Students who wish to receive credit for Reasons Institute courses through Biola University must contact the university to enroll in the Master of Arts in Science and Religion program and complete the appropriate application process.

Please follow these steps in order to receive graduate credit for a Reasons Institute course or work toward an MA in science and religion through Biola University.

  1. Contact Dr. John Bloom, director of the MA in Science and Religion program, for information about admission to Biola: (562) 906-4570 or [email protected].
  2. Purchase course textbooks through RTB’s web store or through Biola University.
  3. On the Friday before the course starts, RTB will send your username, password, and login information. This will give you access to Moodle, where you’ll find the relevant online course materials (e.g., lectures, notes, syllabus)
Southern Evangelical Seminary

Students who wish to receive credit for Reasons Institute courses through Southern Evangelical Seminary (SES) must contact the school directly to enroll in the Certificate in Scientific Apologetics program and complete the application process.

Regent University

Students who wish to receive credit for Reasons Institute courses through Regent University (RU) must contact the university to enroll in the Master of Arts in Cosmogony program and complete the application process.
