God at Work through You
Earlier this year, we put out a call to RTB friends who could help keep tuition affordable for students participating in The Lab 2016—and the response was incredible. As we opened our doors to students interested in various science fields such as physics, life sciences, and engineering, we couldn’t wait to share about the life-changing impact your support made on each student’s experience.
Over the three-day program, students listened to talks, asked questions, and engaged in dialogue with the scholars and mentors; they also made new friends with their like-minded peers through group activities like laser tag and a visit to the Griffith Observatory. At the end of the week, one student asked, “Can I come back next year?”
Another participant, Brennan, shared how important his time was at The Lab:
This weekend has been one of the most fascinating, informational, and truly inspirational. I have had the pleasure of spending my time with these brilliant minds and due to this my wealth of knowledge has grown exponentially. Whether it be with quantum mechanics, evolution, or the multiverse—I’ve learned how to find God in each of them. The skills to do this are invaluable and I am so grateful for RTB, the mentors, and for [the supporters] who made this possible.
All of us at RTB are truly grateful for the outpouring of support you shared with us and these bright young minds who will someday be leaders in the science-faith conversation. Thank you for stepping forward now in order to grow God’s kingdom for generations to come!
