Give and Take
Has anything from the natural world helped you in understanding your faith better?
In the June 14 digest, we asked, “What was one of the first things you noticed about the natural world as a child? Did your childhood curiosity follow you into adulthood? Did your observation lead you to pursue a certain career?” We loved this response from Lori:
When I was 3, my mom was carrying me across the lot to the neighbor’s, who would babysit me. She stopped to point out the stars to me. She knew the Big Dipper, but not much more. But those beautiful skies filled me with wonder, and I have never gotten over it. When I was 8, the Soviets launched a spacecraft carrying a dog, and everyone was talking about people going into space soon. I wanted to be one of those people. I did not get to follow that dream, but I have never stopped wanting it. When the rapture comes, I will go into space. Right? All Christians will. Keep up your wonderful work. We need you.
