A Step Beyond
This week we continue our month-long offer of giving a free copy of Why the Universe Is the Way It Is to those who commit to sharing the book with a friend. (Offer extends while quantities last.)
Wondering exactly how to share the book with someone in your life who is wrestling with big questions? Here are three simple steps to help you get started:
- Be honest.
Communicate your intentions upfront. You might open with something like, “I noticed you have a lot of questions regarding x, y, z, and I found some answers to those questions in a book I’ve read. Would it be okay if I shared the book with you?”
- Remain positive and encouraging.
Remember, this isn’t about winning an argument. It’s about engaging in dialogue with gentleness, respect, and a clear conscience.
- Follow up.
Consider checking in with this friend after they’ve had time to read through the book to ask how they feel about the content. Offer your own thoughts, whether critical or positive about the book, to remind them that you’re on the journey with them.
Share from the heart and you may be surprised at how much your friend is willing to engage.
