Give and Take
Who has challenged your faith the most? What did they say or do that was challenging?
This is a fantastic letter from Raymond responding to our February 16 question on what defines RTB and how our ministry has impacted the world today.
I’m a 70-year-old retired person. I spent most of my life engaged in technical professions, marketing, manufacturing, legal and social services and I had little time or energy for intellectual pursuit. In my retirement I have developed a passion for studying philosophy, theology, and science. As a Christian I am somewhat surprised to find myself more intellectually engaged with atheists and agnostics than people of faith. I never cease to be surprised at how God works in lives to change hearts. The recent update of your book Who Was Adam? arrived at the most fortuitous time in my discussions with people who espouse a materialistic universe, much of which is centered on a Darwinian interpretation of data. I have shared it with a number of friends and they have been fascinated to discover actual legitimate scientific support for the biblical account of the creation of humans. I suddenly find the biblical account having more credibility in their eyes, and as our discussions continue and become more intense, I can see their worldview changing before my very eyes, something I think they have been yearning for. Your faithfulness to your mission does help God to change lives.
