God at Work through You
Last week we discovered how simply giving an RTB book to a friend has life-changing potential. This week, we’d like to challenge you to take that action a step further, just like Dan Reyneveld did. In his letter to Ken Samples, Dan describes another way to share our books with others:
You may recall that I planned to teach an apologetics class [based on your book 7 Truths That Changed the World] . . . Tonight is the final class . . . so I wanted to give you a quick update, and mostly say thank you.
We did one 90-minute session on each truth, so tonight is class No. 7 (evil and suffering). We had over 50 students in attendance at each session, and the overall response to your book has been tremendous. I can provide more feedback if you like, but the material was excellent for teaching, and the class found it challenging, thought-provoking, and still reachable. The learning grew each week, with each new topic building on the previous ones. They are seeing how it all ties together into one cohesive and defensible worldview. There is no doubt that both faith and understanding was deepened and broadened for all of us, and the material and discussions changed us.
Thanks for writing this book! You blessed me and these 50+ folks this summer, and more will be blessed as a result of this class.
Leading an RTB-inspired apologetics class or small group may sound daunting, but you don’t have to create lessons ex nihilo! We’ve eliminated the guesswork with our ready-made studies, including Navigating Genesis, The Bigger Picture on Creation, and Majesty of the Maker. So if you feel led to partner with us in this way, helping guide others into a deeper understanding of their Creator, we’d like to encourage you with Dan’s story and Paul’s words in Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through him who strengthens me.”
