God at Work through You
What are your special gifts and interests? RTB apologist Sue Dykes could tell you that God can use any of our gifts to further his kingdom!
Sue was introduced to Reasons to Believe by her father-in-law, a geologist. At the time of his death, he was developing a course on the Bible versus evolution. That’s when Sue began reading the books he’d accumulated for that purpose and discovered his collection of RTB titles, including The Fingerprint of God. The books led her to our website, from there to our Reasons Institute courses—all of which are available only because of financial support from ministry partners like you. Now Sue has launched into a whole new adventure in scientific research.
“Research is my love in life,” says Sue, whose latest interests include molecular biology, biochemistry, and human origins. While pursuing advanced degrees in paleoanthropology at the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa, Sue participates in hominid research, offering astute insights regarding complex topics like human-Neanderthal interbreeding issues. Today, Sue continues to bless RTB and others by serving as a Reasons Institute instructor (overseeing Creation vs. Evolution) and a technical advisor for the Advanced Seminar on Human Origins. She also provided a valuable review of Fazale Rana’s 10-year update to Who Was Adam?
We encourage you to identify your God-given passions and talents, and look for ways he can use the things that make you unique to reach out to those seeking and needing a relationship with Him.
And if you share Sue’s penchant for science, consider becoming a part of our RTB apologist community, too! You can learn more about how to become a member of this community at reasons.org/participate/community.
