Give and Take
In our God at Work through You section this week, Kathy Ross gives us some fantastic testimonies of how RTB chapters have created extraordinary opportunities for ministry. If you are a part of a chapter, how has God used that involvement to orchestrate ministry opportunities in your life and the lives of those around you?
This is a fantastic letter from Brenda responding to our December 10 question on favorite evangelistic moments.
A friend and I had started a ministry to reach out to street people in Wilmington, CA . . . One of the places that we went each week was called the Old South Hotel . . . I met a man there named Mel who had been in the Vietnam War, and I had spoken to him about the Lord and given him a tract. After going there for several weeks we went one day and he was not in his usual place. When we asked about him they said he was sick . . . During the week I had felt the Lord was leading me to speak to him again about receiving Christ . . . I shared the Gospel with him and he prayed with me to receive the Lord. The presence of the Lord was so real in that room. I was overjoyed! When we went back on Monday I learned that he had died the day after we came. How thankful I was that I had obeyed the promptings of the Holy Spirit. It has been a lesson that has stayed with me over the years.
Loving Him together,
