Dr. Cynthia Cheung is an astrophysicist who retired after 35 years working in NASA space missions. She has a PhD from University of Maryland and an A.B. from University of California, Berkeley, both in Astronomy. She has significant experience in Space Science mission operations and data management: including multi-mission space science data archive interoperability, applied information technology, robotics and intelligent control systems, simulations of space plasma environment for human exploration, and education and public outreach. Her scientific research included high energy astrophysics, stellar evolution and nucleosynthesis. Her work experience spans contractor, government, and academia environment.
