". . . My greatest desire in having a connection with Reasons To Believe was to open the eyes of the blind through scientifically proven theories that connect with the Word of God.
"This opportunity was open to me this past week in my public school. My physics teacher, after reviewing my copy of Facts & Faith, was so impressed with the scientific news that he read an article in class. . . . My physics teacher now wants to be on your mailing list."

"I went to Russia with Revival Fires ministry last August. . . . Over a thousand people gave their lives to Christ while we were there. One who did not was Olga, a student from Moscow State University, one of the intepreters on our team. She believed in God but was unsure about Jesus being God. She was unsure about salvation through Christ. I took tapes with me purchased from Reasons To Believe in hopes that the Lord would lead the right people to me to whom these tapes might minister. I gave one to Olga. We have been writing back and forth. In her first letter she said she listened to your testimony and could not find an argument against what you were saying. She also said that after listening to your tape she knew her will was a major roadblock to her acceptance of Christ. In her following letters she asked for much prayer; the Lord was working on her heart. She then posed a problem she had with Genesis: How could God create light first, then plants, then the sun? I mailed her two of your books, The Creator and the Cosmos and The Fingerprint of God, and I explained to her how the point of view of the creation account was at the surface of the earth and not in outer space. . . . I just wanted to tell you that last Tuesday I received a letter from Olga. She finally accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior! Praise the Lord! . . . She was very thankful for your books. In her letter she told me she has a strong desire to lead people to Christ. She has interpreted at a total of four crusades now. . . ."

"Thank you so much for the best Christmas present I could hope for: revitalized faith. Despite my training in science and engineering, I have never found it to be at odds with my slowly emerging spiritual self. . . .
"Unfortunately, however, everything I hear and read when I look into Christian media seems to portray science and scientific inquiry as a nuisance and instead focuses on conservative social and political topics (and/or fund-raising). This has driven me away from saying I follow Christ because it seems to miss the entire point of Gods love for His created and the true awesome power of His majesty! . . .
"Consequently, it comes as an enormous relief to have been given an issue of Facts & Faith by a concerned friend and to have read Hugh Rosss article on super strings. At last, faith with reason! Blaise Pascal would be delighted; I certainly am. Just knowing there are Christians out there who dont consider science an assault on a world built from fundamental tenets is both a relief and a dream come true. Your ministry has given me the encouragement to proudly declare my faith in Christ again. It also equips me with tools to reach many who are like me: wanting to believe the ultimate results of our observations but not wanting to act like a preachy ethics coach or crusader for particular political thought. . . ."

"I was a stockbroker in the Philadelphia area for several years. Over time I came to realize there were more important things to do than chase dollars. An opportunity arose to come to China with English Language Institute, and I jumped at it.
". . . During my first year here a number of people approached me with arguments and questions related to science v. religion. As a result of these questions I began to investigate as well as I could here. Upon returning home during the summer, I purchased your book The Creator and the Cosmos and enjoyed it very much. I also started a masters program in teaching and, ironically, after two weeks of study with one Chinese-American teacher, she gave me one of your tapes.
"I have since played it for many other foreign teachers, and it has become quite popular here in Harbin [northeastern China]. Within the past hour, I played it for a select group of friends for whom these things are an issue, and they enjoyed it greatly.
"I would greatly appreciate it if you could send me further information you have on these subjects. . . ."

"I am writing in regards to my subscription to Facts & Faith. . . . After reading these publications and watching Dr. Ross [on TBN] I have re-evaluated my position on God. This is exactly the type of knowledge I need to become rooted in my faith, a faith I lost long ago.
". . . I was transferred two weeks ago, and due to the programming here, I cannot see Dr. Rosss broadcastthat is a real bummer. But, I have the magazines, which I look forward toespecially in a lockdown situation. . . ."

". . .I am 69 years old, not a teenager by any means, but young in heart. In one of the churches my husband and I attend, the minister started a series on Genesis. He talked about how the earth was only a few thousand years old and went on to try to prove iteven talked about moon dust. I became very upset. This went against everything I have studied, seen, and heard. Ive always believed science and the Bible went right along together. I feel so bad for the young people in this church, who will be unable to connect science and the Bible.
"I prayed a lot and then went to the Bible bookstore. Your book Creation and Time almost jumped off the shelf into my hands. I looked through it and even found the answer to the moon dust. It gave me back my sanity. I have since bought four more copies of this book to give to friends. . . ."

"In the Facts & Faith newsletter (v. 9, n. 4, 1995), page 10, Hugh Ross had an article on the serious [physical] problems facing mankind today and the need for us to seek Gods input for the solutions. . . .
"In the middle of the article, Dr. Ross wrote, Do I have a better recommendation [for solving them]? Not a physical one. I think some nonChristians might be helped by a less abrupt transition from technological problems to spiritual solutions. At this point, I think it would be useful to show a link between societys problems and the immorality the Bible preaches against.
"For those who will not listen to the spiritual merits of the case, it is possible just from a dollars-and-cents perspective to arrive at our need for repentance. . . . The behaviors that the Bible identifies as sinful invariably have high economic costs. These costs are straightforward to document. If we went through the Bible verse by verse and tallied up the annual cost of disobedience to Gods commands, the total would be staggering. . . .
"The problem has now been recast from a strictly technological one to one that has a behavioral component. At this point, the nonChristian might be tempted to exchange one human-based solution (science and engineering) for another (psychology). Obviously, there is still a leap that must be made from faith in human effort to faith in God. However, it is probably easier for most people to see the need of a spiritual solution for a behavioral problem than to see it for a technical problem. I see my comments here as being intermediate, to help make that leap as short as possible. . . ."
