"...Your work has been a source of inspiration, joy, and affirmation to me as a Christian ecologist, caught between the two worlds of secular science and of blind faith, which treats all scientific endeavors as the work of the enemy.
"When I asked the Lord's permission about twenty years ago to study for a career in ecology, He consented. I thought He was showing mercy on my weakness by allowing me to follow this course instead of putting me on the 'front lines' as a missionary in some foreign land where voodoo is practiced. God has a great sense of humor. I have just now realized that I am on the front lines! There is as much or more occult religious practice among Ph.D. ecologists as among poor, illiterate people in the third world. Our enemy has nearly done with the atheists and secular humanists (man-worshippers). He now greedily seeks-and gets-direct worship through Deep Ecology, worship of Mother Earth or GAIA, eco-feminism, Earth healing rituals, new age paganism, and the like.
"Respected authorities now give tribute to these false religions in their technical papers, and the editors are publishing them! The atheists and secular humanists object to this on their traditional grounds that any discussion of religion if unscientific. It would be humorous were it not of such grave concern.
"...It is no longer enough to prove that creation did not occur by random events. The enemy has moved from the random events theories to an acceptance of a Universal Mind or Mother Earth or Phoenix Rising, which is to be placated and worshipped. He is no longer satisfied with trying to rob God's glory; he wants and is getting worship himself. He is promulgating end-times ecological collapse theories with just enough truth in them to delude many intelligent people. Most of the 'new' theories or prophecies are in the Bible but are misrepresented. Of course, repentance toward God is the only solution to man's problem, but many ecologists blame all the world's problems on Christ..."

"I am a 90-year-old great-grandmother. I live in the hills of North Carolina in what is called the Bible Belt. There is a church at about every bend in the road, mostly Baptist. In spite of that, I was never a true believer, and I worried about that.
"A few weeks ago I happened to hear you on TV-'Reasons To Believe.' I wanted to know more. I immediately called the library. They did not have anything by Dr. Hugh Ross. Neither did the bookstores in our little town. I have a niece in Costa Mesa, Calif. I called her. In two days I had the book and also The Creator and the Cosmos by you! I've read it twice and parts of it many times. I confess some of it is too technical for me, but oh! The part that isn't! I love it! I believe in your God. He is truly my God now..."

"...I am educated, but I don't have a doctor's degree in anything. I also use some or many large words. I find your information is very, very dramatically overly intellectually stated. In fact, I have a hard time understanding most of what you write. Please don't send any more information as I believe the Gospel is really simple. You believe or you don't believe..."

"The few times I have watched your TBN program, 'Reasons To Believe,' I have been enriched. I can understand your message.
"I have been a Christian and a scientist for longer than thirty years. I have been openly condemned in churches for being a chemist and have been told I already have a place in hell for my kind.
"Your Christian presentation is the first I have ever seen that says scientists who believe in God will go to heaven. Please add my name to your mailing list."

"...I find the [newsletter's new] four-column page to be distracting. Maybe it's my trifocals in part. I strongly prefer a three-column page... Please lose the amateurish-looking graphics and illustrations. Fine lines and exquisite detail cost no more to print, after you've coralled the artwork.
"Not all parts of 'contemporary' are necessarily better. I am not of the opinion that music has improved since that written by J. S. Bach..."
Don, Hemet, Calif.
"I love what you've done with the newsletter! A definite A+. Keep up the good work..."
