Our Mission
Because "The heavens declare the glory of God" (Psalm 19:1) and we are told to "Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have" (I Peter 3:15, NIV), the mission of Reasons To Believe Rochester is to make known the biblical and scientific evidence that leads us to a reasonable faith in the God of the Bible.
This mission has two facets: "to bring faith to the scientific community," and "to bring science to the faith community." Since each group is often unaware of the distinctive knowledge of the other, we aim to bridge the gap by showing how scientific discoveries point to the Creator God and the truth of the Bible, and how the Bible shows the way to a relationship with Jesus Christ, his Son.
