Registration & Tuition

Audit

Anyone may audit a class for personal enrichment. Audit students are given access to course lectures and notes, as well as to group discussions. There are no prerequisites to audit a course and no written assignments are required. Students can be as involved as much, or as little, as they want. Prospective audit students may also want to check out our on-demand courses.


Tuition

  • For 5 week courses – $100 per course + materials
  • For 8 week courses – $125 per course + materials
  • For 15 week courses – $175 per course + materials


Registration

Please follow these easy steps in order to register for a Reasons Institute course as an audit student.

1.  Pay the tuition fee. You will receive an email confirmation with further instructions within 1–2 working days.

2.  Purchase course materials through our virtual bookstore.

3.  The Friday before the start of the course, we will email each student a username and password. This will enable you to log onto the online learning platform and access course materials (e.g. audio lectures, notes, syllabus).

Note: Audit courses offer no college credit and cannot be upgraded for college credit at a later time.

Certificate

Reasons Institute offers a certificate program in science apologetics. This option offers top level training, but without going through a formal degree program.

There is no need to formally enroll in the certificate program. Simply register for these courses by following the steps below. Once you have completed the necessary courses for your certificate, contact us at learning@reasons.org and we will send your certificate in the mail.

Students are expected to complete each certificate level within 3 years of the start of the first class. Certificate courses offer no college credit and cannot be upgraded for college credit at a later time.


Tuition

  • For 5 week courses – $150 per course + materials
  • For 8 week courses – $175 per course + materials
  • For 15 week courses – $225 per course + materials


Registration

Undergraduate

Reasons Institute has partnered with Northern California Bible College (NCBC) to offer undergraduate Bible college credit for our courses.

Tuition:

  • $125–$225 (depending on the course) + materials

Registration:

Follow these steps in order to receive college credit for a Reasons Institute course through NCBC.

  1. Download and fill out an application for admission.

  2. Submit completed application to:

    • Fax: (626) 852-9580 (Attn: Reasons Institute)

    • Mail: Reasons Institute, 818 S. Oak Park Rd, Covina CA 91724

  3. Register as a certificate student through the RTB web store. Someone from our staff will send you a username, password and log-in instructions on the Friday before the start of the course. This will enable you to log onto the online learning platform and access course materials (e.g. lectures, notes, syllabus).

  4. Purchase course textbooks

  5. Once the course has been completed, the student should contact the Registrar at NCBC with the final course grade so that it can be recorded on the transcript.

Graduate

Reasons Institute has partnered with various universities in order to allow students to receive academic credit for our courses. Students who wish to receive credit for a Reasons Institute course must follow the school's admission protocols as detailed below.

Students who wish to receive graduate level credit for Reasons Institute courses through Hope International University (HIU) must enroll as an HIU student and complete the appropriate application process.

Tuition:
  • $450 per unit (3 units) + materials

Registration:

Please follow these steps in order to register as a student at HIU.

  1. Contact Butch Ellis, Director of Christian Church Admissions at HIU at (800) 762-1294 or bellis@hiu.edu for information about credit and current tuition rates.
  2. Request and submit a completed Non-Degree Application (no application fees apply) to the university. 

  3. Purchase course textbooks through RTB's web store or through Hope International University.

  4. Someone from our staff will send you a username, password and log-in information on the Friday before the start of the course. This will enable you to log onto the online learning platform and access course materials (e.g. lectures, notes, syllabus).



Students who wish to receive credit for Reasons Institute courses through Biola must contact the university in order to enroll in the M.A. in Science and Religion program and complete the appropriate application process.

Tuition:

  • $501 per unit (1–2 units) + materials

Registration:

Please follow these steps in order to receive graduate credit for a Reasons Institute course or work toward a M.A. in Science and Religion through Biola University.

  1. Contact Dr. John Bloom, the director of the M.A. in Science and Religion program at (562) 906-4570 or scienceandreligion@biola.edu for information about the program and how to receive an application for admission.

  2. Purchase course textbooks through RTB's web store or through Biola University.

  3. Someone from our staff will send you a username, password and log-in information on the Friday before the start of the course. This will enable you to log onto the online learning platform and access course materials (e.g. lectures, notes, syllabus).



Students who wish to receive credit for Reasons Institute courses through Southern Evangelical Seminary (SES) must contact the school in order to enroll in the Certificate in Scientific Apologetics program and complete the appropriate application process.

Please follow these steps in order to receive graduate credit for a Reasons Institute course or work toward a Certificate in Scientific Apologetics through SES.

  1. Contact Southern Evangelical Seminary directly for information for how to enroll at (800) 77-TRUTH or info@ses.edu for information about the program and how to receive an application for admission.

  2. Purchase course textbooks through RTB's web store or through SES.


Students who wish to receive credit for Reasons Institute courses through Regent University (RU) must contact the university in order to enroll in the M.S. in Cosmogony program and complete the appropriate application process. This program will launch in the Fall of 2016. More information coming soon!
