I’ve always thought that pursuing “the life of the mind to the glory of God” was a critically important calling for believers. The amazing people (religious Jews, Christians, and Muslims) mentioned in the article have exemplified that great calling and are an inspiration to all of us. They also remind us how important it is to have a realistic (humble) assessment of oneself.
As we say on the Straight Thinking podcast, the historic Christian faith involves knowledge and is compatible with reason. The Christians on this list help demonstrate that compatibility.
