Astronomers found that the density of the circumstellar medium determines whether or not a white dwarf star will accrete enough matter from a red giant partner star to become a type Ia supernova. Since the number density of type Ia supernovae is critical for life, the average circumstellar medium density for white dwarf red giant pairs is evidence for divine design.
