Solar Irradiance Variability

TNRTB Archive - Retained for reference information

Astronomers discover that faculae, large-scale bright solar surface features, contribute 80% of the total solar irradiance variability. To keep this variability down to 0.1%, even for only 100,000 years, requires exquisite fine-tuning of several solar characteristics.
