Through a more accurate determination of collisional contributions to spectral line intensities an astronomy research team adjusted the measured primordial helium abundance upward by 0.0035 to 0.2391 ± 0.0020. This upward adjustment placed helium abundance measurements into an even closer match with the predictions of the big bang creation model.
