To the non-Christian it may appear at first glance that Christians are hopelessly divided on a number of doctrinal issues. These theological differences certainly extend to the controversial topic of eschatology (the study of last or future things). However, a closer inspection of the views held by believers concerning future things reveals what I like to call “Mere Christian Eschatology.”
Theologically conservative Christians who hold different positions about end time events nevertheless still affirm a common ground of doctrinal orthodoxy. Thus, what believers hold in common is much more significant than their areas of difference.
While I work on a new book manuscript, I hope you will enjoy reviewing historic Christianity’s “Five Eschatological Essentials.”
